For Example someone asks you, can you loan me $50? There are only three answers you should give. See below how I categorize the responses that you can apply to any situation.
Response 1:
Yes- You can respond like this, Hi. Chekesha, yes I will be able to loan you $50. Do not give an explanation
Response 2:
No- You can respond like this, Hi. Chekesha, No, I will be able to loan you $50. Do not give an explanation.
Now, you if you find yourself torn and think you can choose the next option.
Response 3:
Counter- You can respond like this, Hi. Chekesha, I will not be able to loan you $50, however, I can loan you $20. See, you can counter because it’s your choice and you have the power to choose so.
You have the power to choose a response that works for you.
